1. What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?
First, thanks so much for inviting me to visit with you today! I love reading, and as a child, I found the escape into books a magical experience. The Bear in the Boat was one of the first books I read. LOL I loved that little book. It had all kinds of animal characters. I just Googled it and apparently it is rare now. It costs $60 on Amazon. I'm pretty sure I still have my copy.
2. What are you reading right now?
My own books. I'm reading the proof copies of the print books for My Daring Highlander and My Notorious Highlander, checking for any final errors. I know some people find this a chore but I actually enjoy it. Sometimes I get nostalgic for my characters and miss them, so it's nice to visit them again. :)
3. How does your garden grow?
I love growing a garden! But I don't get as much time to garden now because I try to spend as much time as possible writing. I love growing all sorts of flowers and vegetables.
4. What is the last thing you Googled?
The Bear in the Boat. :) Before that it was the Clocky alarm clock. I didn't even know these things existed until a friend of mine mentioned she had one. If I had a hard time getting up in the morning I'd buy one, but fortunately that isn't a problem I have.
5. What makes you cringe?
Movies that are too violent and gory. Just not my thing. Of course, since I write Scottish historical romance, my books require battle scenes and some violence, but I don't take it to extremes.
