Giveaway Interview PURE HEAT by M L BUCHMAN @SourcebooksCasa

Pure Heat received STARRED reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist!

These heli-aviation firefighters battle more than flames.

The elite fire experts of Mount Hood Aviation fly into places even the CIA can't penetrate.

She lives to fight fires

Carly Thomas could read burn patterns before she knew the alphabet. A third-generation forest fire specialist who lost both her father and her fiancé to the flames, she's learned to live life like she fights fires: with emotions shut down.

But he's lit an inferno she can't quench

Former smokejumper Steve "Merks" Mercer can no longer fight fires up close and personal, but he can still use his intimate knowledge of wildland burns as a spotter and drone specialist. Assigned to copilot a Firehawk with Carly, they take to the skies to battle the worst wildfire in decades and discover a terrorist threat hidden deep in the Oregon wilderness--but it's the heat between them that really sizzles.

About the Author

M. L. Buchman has over a dozen romances and more than 20 books in print (he also writes science fiction and fantasy). His full name, Matthew Lieber Buchman, translates as Matthew Beloved Book Man, no wonder he’s a writer. It didn’t jump him until he’d tried a “few” other careers. He has worked decades (yes, really) as a corporate project manager in 7 different industries. In among that, he has: rebuilt and single-handed a fifty-foot sailboat, both flown and jumped out of airplanes, designed and built two houses, and bicycled solo around the world. He is now making his living full-time as a writer, scribbling away with his wife on the Oregon Coast. You may keep up with his writing at www.mlbuchman.com.

1. What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?

Winnie-the-Pooh. Actually, that had probably been read to me many times first. Courtesy of an amazing 3rd grade teacher, I jumped over all of the rest of kid’s reading. The first one I’m sure of reading on my own was London’s The Call of the Wild.

2. What are you reading right now?

I’m presently reading two manuscripts for friends, just finished Dead Money, a thriller by Dean Wesley Smith, and Rowell’s YA Romance Eleanor & Park.

3. How does your garden grow?

Black thumb, I can kill a cactus. But I keep planting novels. Pure Heat will be number 25!

4. What is the last thing you Googled?

The author of Eleanor & Park. Right before that, a lot of the production details of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park starring Frances O’Connor (awesome!). My wife and I are working our way through ALL of the Austen movies (we have 3-4 versions of each in out collection).

5. What makes you cringe?

Cynics and mean-hearted manipulation of others. I literally can’t watch the latter, it will force me out of movie theaters or to throw a book across the room. It has cost me friends.
