ReplyDeleteI was totally amazed when I checked the list of books and found so many that were "required reading" when I was in High School in the 1960's! Catcher in the Rye BANNED you got to be kdding!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why so many of my classmates ended up being hippies! Loosen up here folks! It's by reading all types of books that we become aware of the prejudices and wrongs in the world.
I don't think any book should be banned especially in the world we live in today. Instead live the choice to the reader. Just because they pick up a book at the library or buy it doesn't mean they have to finish reading it if they find it isn't to their personal taste.
It's by reading books like the ones banned that we overcome our prejudices not the vehicle of banning the book.
Great giveaway to make readers aware of the danger of banning ANY book!
Thank you for the chance to win! :D
