There is a lot of great information which I haven't quite figured out how to use yet, but some day I might. I thought that if I can save one person from having to search for this the hard way, it would be important to share.
I FORGOT THIS PART OF THE POST
Once you sign up for Google Analytics, sign in to your account.
It will default to a monthly view and you can change this by clicking on the tabs in the upper right hand corner. You will have a choice of DAY WEEK MONTH YEAR
Then scroll down and where you see your blog address, click on VIEW REPORT
On the right side of this screen, you will see a DASHBOARD, click on the second option, VISITORS and you will get your total number of unique visitors.
just started following your blog -- great reviews.
ReplyDelete"blogger in draft" (a link at the bottom of the dashboard page) has a tab called "stats" which basically gives you the same info as google analytics right from blogger. i think it's a new thing; i just discovered earlier today and thought i'd pass on the info.
schmalz, that blogger in draft thing was really helpful and interesting. I did not know it was there. thanks.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's really hard to truly get a number of how many people stop by your blog. I have tons of people that say they read my blog regularly. They don't visibly follow because they don't have a blog themselves. I'm going to check out the link you gave me just to see if my hunch is right.
ReplyDeleteI still can't figure out where to get subscriber numbers. That whole thing has me boggled even though i followed your link.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I found the total subscribers there earlier today and now all I can find it total unique visitors. I just added the exact directions to get to the visitor totals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Google Analytics info and for the bogger stats info. I am already enjoying some of your info.
