MY THOUGHTS ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

I am always amazed by the content in these stories, some as short as two words and the pictures that accompany them.  They relate more in few words than most authors can do in a thousand words.  I am always taken by how perfect these short stories are. I have read both prior books and these make wonderful gifts for even the most picky person.  If you are a fan of the Six Word Memoir books, this series is right up your ally.

Disclosure  I received this book from the publisher at no charge and in no way influenced my review.  If you are considering purchasing this book or anything else from Amazon, please use my link above since I earn a very small percentage of the sale which helps pay for shipping my giveaways!

BookHounds Review THE TINY BOOK OF TINY STORIES 2 @hitRECordJoe @ItBooks

Book Description

November 13, 2012 The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories (Book 2)

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Looper, 500 Days of Summer) made a big splash with The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories - so now he’s back with volume 2! One of the most ingenious and successful projects to come out of Gordon-Levitt's online creative coalition hitRECord - an international collaboration of artists and writers - The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 2 offers more quirky, delightfully small, ingeniously illustrated haiku-like tales, proving once more that the universe isn’t made of atoms; it’s made of tiny stories. The best things do come in small packages.

About the Author
HitRECord founder and director Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s acting career has managed to garner a massive popular appeal while maintaining a widely respected artistic integrity. He recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award-nominated Inception and received Golden Globe, Independent Spirit and People’s Choice award nominations for his performance in (500) Days of Summer. MY THOUGHTS
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

The tiny book of tiny stories is just like the first although I thought it was a bit darker than the first installment.  Each page is a delight and each story will leave you pondering the thought behind each one for hours. There are some truly melancholy and some seriously silly little gems.   I think my favorite one is: "I'm tired of being tired of being tired of being."  Which just hit me at moment of sheer despair and when I turned the page a whole new emotion hit me.  This book will appeal to fans of Six Word Memoirs.  Fingers crossed the site will continue to explore these micro stories and more volumes will be published.

MY THOUGHTS
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

How much do I love this book? An infinite amount.

Each story is a combination of images and words all for maximum impact.  Much like Six Word Memoirs and Hemingway's short story, this slim volume is huge with concepts.  Created by a multitude of artists, this multimedia collection is a true treasure that would make a wonderful gift for those hard to please people that generally don't like books.  I had no idea who the mastermind is behind this wonderful compendium but looking around, I found that the he is an actor and collaborates online at RegularJoe HERE.  Sorry, if you end up spending a lot of time there, but the site is truly addicting.
