Imperfect Love Tour

Imperfect Love

Imperfect Love

Lauren Wilson is well on her way to her happily-ever-after. She has a career she loves, a husband she adores and a baby on the way, but a devastating diagnosis changes everything. The life she's built suddenly crumbles around her when her husband insists she choose—the baby or him.

Returning to her small hometown to rebuild her shattered life, Lauren crosses paths with Ethan Campbell, the man who stole her teenage heart. The old attraction is still there, but Lauren won't admit it to anyone—least of all herself. Her only priority is providing a life for her child, and she can't afford to get it wrong. Ethan is confusing everything, including stirring up feelings she’s not prepared to face. Will she spend her life raising her baby alone or is the family she's always wanted finally within her reach?

PLEASE WELCOME REBECCA to BOOHOUNDS

This is Your 8th book. You have cut across various Genres like Children Book, Paranormal, Young Adult, Non-Fiction and others. How do You manage to do so with such sheer brilliance and vibrancy?

Thank you. 8 books? I guess you’re right. I hadn’t realized it was 8. Maybe I’m even more amazing than I thought. J Thank you for your kind words. I’m not sure I’m at all brilliant, but I do love to write. I just try to find time every day to write.

There are a lot of other romantic novels around. How does Imperfect Love standout among them and what should the readers expect from it?

Imperfect Love is not a conventional romance. It deals with some difficult issues. I’m hoping readers will think about what they might do in the same situation. There is romance in the story, but the main character has some very hard decisions to make along the way.

Describe characters in 5 words

Forgiving, kind, passionate, thoughtful, understanding

When you shape the events in the story  do You get into the character and decide the course of events or do You shape them in a pre-pondered architecture?

I do have events outlined, but I always ask myself what I might do or think or feel in a similar situation as the characters experience the events. I am a planner, not a pantser.

In all Your books You have put in a lot to develop the families of the protagonist as the support system. Can You please elaborate on it?

I believe that the family unit is the fabric of our society, and strong, healthy families and family relationships create a stronger society.  I believe it is imperative to strengthen our families and do our best to dedicate ourselves to our families by making members of our families feel important and loved and cherished.

Now a days very few authors integrate a strong message in their novels but you have inadvertently done so in almost all your books. When You write the book is Your focus more on the message or more on the story itself?

I try to focus on the story first and weave in a message second. I suppose I’m just so passionate about things that it comes out in my writing.  But a message is far more effective in a well-written story, so as a writer I need to always hone my skills and learn how to best create an engaging and intriguing story.

Is there anything that connects all your Books?

One of the recurring themes is the importance of family. Since I lost my parents at a young age, I have been very focused on my husband and children and making sure there is a strong bond within our family and I think that’s come out in my books.

How much of Your Personal Life and experience is reflected in your novels?

I think all authors write from their own frame of reference in how they have experienced life. My point of view is different from anyone else’s because no one else has lived my life. Having said that, I have included real-life experiences in my books, especially ones involving my kids.

So are You planning a book with a male Protagonist?

I don’t know. I don’t think I could write a male protagonist very well.

All writers are readers first! So who are your favourite authors and what are some of your all-time favourite books?

I loved “Stargirl” by Jerry Spinelli. I loved “The Hunger Games” and “Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins.  I also loved “The Reluctant Bachelorette” by Rachael Anderson, “The Kindling” series by Braden Bell, and “Pocket Full of Posies” by Julie Coulter Bellon.  I really loved “On  Little Wings” by Regina Siriois.
