Getting her to the wedding on time is the least of his worries...
Kate Preston just moved to New York, but she has to get back to Seattle in time for her best friend's wedding. Joe Firretti is moving to Seattle, and has to get there in time or risk losing his new job. But fate's got a sense of humor. Kate goes from rubbing elbows on a plane with a gorgeous but irritating strange (doggone armrest hog) to sharing one travel disaster after another with him on four wheels. Joe thought he had his future figured out, but sometimes fates has to knock you over the head pretty hard before you see what opportunity is standing in front of you...in a really god-awful poufy bridesmaid dress.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite wedding moment was when my son and DIL got married. It was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wedding moment was walking down to my Awesome cowboy groom to Bless The Broken Road when we got married two years ago in my parent's home.
ReplyDeleteThe absolute best day of my life!
My wedding isn't until January, so my favorite wedding moment is from my dear friend's wedding last year - the couple persuaded their pastor to re-enact the Princess Bride wedding ("twu wuv")! It was so utterly sweet.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite wedding moment is courtesy of my son. He was 6 yrs old at a friend's wedding and when it came to the toasts, he asked to speak. A little doubtful, I asked him what he wanted to say, but he replied he didn't know yet. I was unsure if it was a good idea, but I was also impressed that my 6-year-old wanted to address a crowd when I as a kid was always too shy, so I let him. When he got the microphone he said a little hesitantly, "This - this wedding would be nicer if the food was good and there was dancing." The room erupted in laughter as he proceeded to climb into my lap where it was impossible for me to disavow him while my husband did his best to look like he did not know us. Luckily the bride and groom thought it was freaking hilarious and loved every minute of it. For the record the food was delicious, and the dancing was after the toasts.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wedding moment was when I was walking down the aisle towards my handsome husband-to-be, to see the love shining in his eyes.

My favorite wedding moment has to be my best friends wedding in Disney World. It was a beautiful weekend and we all had a great time
ReplyDeleteI never been to a wedding where crazy stuff has happened. The most fun I've had was at my cousin's wedding in Vegas. It was so low key and stress free that everybody really enjoyed themselves.

My favorite moment was years ago, my sister was the flower girl at a wedding for some friends of our parents. And she got tired of the whole shebang so she heaved this giant sigh and plopped herself down on the stairs....which caused the ring bearer to do the same. Gave us a chuckle then and we're sure to make sure she doesn't forget it lol

My favorite moment was at a wedding of a friend. Everything seemed to be like any other wedding - the bridesmaids all came down the aisle, then the bride with her father. But as the bride reached her groom, she pulled away from her father and she and the bridesmaids all whipped out black shades and struck a Charlie's Angels pose. After the laughs had faded, she announced that now she was ready to be married haha
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wedding moment was getting married near a beautiful waterfall in Hawaii.

The craziest wedding I was in just for the sheer WTF factor was one in which the bride's family was super religious Christian and from Bangladesh. But the Bride was also very keen on the idea of romance novels. So to appease her parents, she had the bridesmaids wear saris but the rest of the party wore other styles: the groomsmen wore a mandarin collar tux with tails, while she herself wore a medieval-style wedding dress with bell sleeves and her groom wore, as per her request, leather trousers, a white renaissance-style shirt, and a leather pirate coat.
ReplyDeleteThere were a lot of uncomfortable and crazy moments, which have provided much amusement to to others at cocktail parties.
I have 2 favorite moments from weddings - both involved my hubby, the pastor who conducted the weddings.
ReplyDeleteThe one I choose to tell about also includes our daughter. Daughter was getting married to her daughter's father (they didn't marry when granddaugher was born, now at this time she's 12). Wedding was at her home, under the arch between lr & dr -- both barefoot, their daughter and his son attendants. Came the time for Daughter to repeat her vows she just stood there looking lovingly at groom, pastor hubby had to call her name to get her attention so she could repeat her vows. {His mother & I signed the wedding certificate as witnesses since the kids were 9 & 12}
Well, my sister's wedding was really fun! I was a bridesmaid and I had a really hot groomsmen. As I was walking down the stairs after the ceremony, I slipped and my groomsman caught me. I also wore open toe shoes even though it was winter and we had to took photos outdoors. Everyone was making fun of me. Then, I went dancing at the reception and my feet were killing me so I took off my shoes and there was broken glass on the floor and it cut open my foot. Classic.
