Book Description

March 26, 2013
When money isn't enough for Brooks Kennedy, Morgan Childs, Storm Dangerfield, and Hope Andrews, the women decide to take over the governor's house in...

THE RICH GIRLS' CLUB

California has never had a female governor and Morgan Childs is determined to change that with the help of her friends. Gathering the backing of the wealthiest women in California, she convinces her best friend, Brooks Kennedy, to run for governor.

Morgan's campaign strategy is nontraditional, but she knows her plan to sexually blackmail each of Brooks's opponents is virtually foolproof. Once she convinces the team of her tactics, they do whatever it takes to get incriminating evidence on Brooks's opponents.

One by one each candidate is forced to withdraw from the governor's race, and Morgan couldn't be happier, until someone attempts to kill Brooks. With so many enemies, Brooks has no idea who wants her dead.

When a secret is revealed, Morgan feels betrayed and will stop at nothing to get revenge. Now, Brooks doesn't know who to trust and the women stand to lose more than they bargained for.

MY THOUGHTS
LOVED IT

Morgan, one of California's wealthiest women, has decided that the state needs a new governor and develops a plan to elect her best friend, Brooks.  Morgan has made her money by  catering to the wealthy and famous at a boutique hotel and spa in Beverly Hills and is married to Magnum, a trophy husband.  Brooks runs the local twenty four hour cafe that lets her access anyone who is anyone as well as their secrets.  Hope has wealth by running a luxury auto service and customizing extravagant vehicles as well as her family's money from Indian Casinos.  Storm, has family money, as well as exotic looks and craves affairs with the powerful to further her own wishes.

As the Rich Girls' Club leader, Morgan has brought the girls together to get Brooks elected as the first female governor by blackmailing the other candidates to get them to drop out.  It is all going according to plan until Morgan discovers that Brooks is sleeping with her husband and not only that Morgan is sleeping with her as well, but now someone is trying to kill Brooks.  What a wild ride this one is!  I really enjoyed the story and the fact that the sexual situations were part of the story rather than just added in like a lot of erotic novels.  Each character was vulnerable in some way and added to more rounded and believable situations.

This is a very quick and fun read.  I think it is the perfect beach book since it has everything you want to keep one entertained for a few hours in the sun.  There is a lot of romance, humor and intrigue (which I would love to ruin, but won't!).  I think Hope is my favorite of the group and would love to read more about her.  I look forward to more from this author and will have to go back and check out her older books!
