Do you have another book in the works?
YES. "MIDAS IN REVERSE" - after ruining two lives at college 19-yr-old Paul drops out and returns to his hometown, where he ruins more lives, including his own.

What are you reading right now?
THE BRAVE by Nicholas Evans (wrote HORSE WHISPERER)

How many books a year do you read?
(20-30 for pleasure, plus speed-reads of on-line books to win brownie points on blogs etc.

What does your dog like to do while you write or read?
She alternates between lying on the bed in my study/spare room and lying on the diningroom window which gives her a chance to sunbathe and watch streetlife outside.

What is your dog’s favorite activity?
I live on the Sussex Downs (gentle hills) where she loves to run, chase, sniff etc.

Here's a picture of me (in Bahrain) with Sophie and Sadie, two mongrels rescued from a date plantation. They both feature in my novel SHAIKH-DOWN, which is set on an imaginary(ish) island in the Persian Gulf where a Revolution is brewing. Topical, timely .... bet your ass it is!

BLURB For SHAIKH-DOWN:

A sassy American airhostess and a gay British banker help their Arab boyfriends to kick-start a revolution on the imaginary island of Belaj in the Persian Gulf. An Arab princess's life takes surprising turns before and after the coup, as does her brother’s, the Emir’s Chief of Security.

My ‘blueprint’ (fairly blue, people!) centres on the Emir’s bedchamber and offers a swifter recipe for Regime Change than current events seem to predict for the region.
