A big giant thank you to Molly for stopping by BookHounds today.  Please note that Molly is owned by two dachshunds and therefore is the Author of the Year at BookHounds.

1.      Bookmarks or dog ears?
(Sheepishly) I’m spine splitter.  That’s probably worse!

2.      Dust jacket on or off when reading a hard back?
Ugh, off!

3.      Favorite author?
Just one?!

4.      Favorite genre’?
Paranormal romance

5.      What is the best book you have read in the last year?
Nicholas Nickleby. I’m intentionally trying to read the classics I’ve missed.

6.      What book would you most like to see made into a movie?
Besides my own?
Wait Until Midnight by Amanda Quick

7.      E books:  Friend or foe?
A little of both.

8.      Was there a book that inspired you to write?
There were a lot of them. I do remember wanting to be the next Roald Dahl, when I grew up. Matilda was my favorite book ever.

9.      What are you reading right now?
Water for Elephants. I’m only a few pages in, but I’m super-excited about it.  I’ve heard good things!

10.     What is the last book you bought just for the cover?
Roses by Leila Meacham. It’s so pretty!

11.     What is the last book you received in the mail?
JANE SLAYRE, the re-fashioned tale of Jane Eyre as a vampire slayer.  A friend of mine, Sherri Erwin, wrote it.

12.     What is the number of books you own?
I honestly don’t have the nerve to count. I’ll put it this way, there are two dresser in my room and neither of them holds clothes.

13.     What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?
One of those Serendipity Books. They were beautifully illustrated, but usually had a pretty clear hippie agenda.

14.     Do you have a favorite place to read?
My couch. It’s super-comfy.

15.     What is next for you, publishing-wise?
The fourth book in the Jane Jameson series should be coming out within the next year. And I’ll be writing two “spin-off” books featuring Half Moon Hollow characters. After that, who knows?

16.     Do you have a favorite place to write?
Also my couch. I don’t have an office.
17.     Do you have any pets ?
Two dachshunds named Pigwidgeon and Crookshanks

18.    How does your garden grow?
With plastic plants. I have a tragic condition known as “death thumb.” It’s the opposite of green thumb. All plants given as gifts will go to my mother-in-law for foster care.

 19.  The last thing you Googled?
Myself… which sounds dirty.

20.     What makes you cringe?
Googling myself. You never know what results will come up.

  1. Love all the insights to Molly's personality! She may think googling herself is cringeworthy, but really, that's ok. It's the spine splitting that makes me crazy! Can you tell I use bookmarks?! Great 20 questions again!

  2. And perhaps in honor of the Author of the Year designation, Molly will stop back with some photos of the dogs!? Or maybe a dachsaund 20 questions!?

  3. I agree! Please, please no spine-splitting!

  4. I'm almost done with the audiobook for Naked Werewolf, and I just plain love Molly Harper's narrative style. It's like listening to stand-up comedy for 9 hours straight, plus the romantic, sexy werewolf parts. Love it!

  5. @Dharma -- I never thought about an audio book for Molly Harper's books -- you are right, they are probably better since they are mostly funny dialog!

Thanks for leaving a note! I try to reply to all conversations!
