LIKED IT
Although there are all the required wacky details and snarky comments I have come to expect from Evanovich, this one just seemed juvenile to me. There was none of the sharp Plum dialogue in this one. I loved Diesel when he appeared in the Between the Plums series, but for him to carry a whole book without Stephanie just fell a little flat. It took me days to finish this one instead of hours. It is probably a must read for any Evanovich fan though. I hope the series will develop a bit better in the future. This one felt a little "phoned in".
Hmmm, I've only read the first three Stephanie Plums, but I liked them. I don't think I'll like this one based on your review. I like the cover though.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I was in the mood to read this one. I have had this happen to me with books before. Sometimes when I go back to books, they really appeal to me. I should have tried this book later when I was in the mood LOL.

ReplyDeleteIt happens to the best of us, but I have found the same thing. With some books, having an off day, means not really enjoying it. I just looked at this book yesterday. I do want to read it.
ReplyDeleteHmm, a little disappointing to hear. I don't like it when the book I read seems like they were just fulfilling a contract. But, I'm a big Plum fan and will give it a try!
