About the AuthorTony Hsieh became involved with Zappos as an advisor and investor in 1999, about two months after the company was founded. He eventually joined Zappos full time in 2000.
Under his leadership, Zappos has grown gross merchandise sales from $1.6M in 2000 to over $1 billion in 2008 by focusing relentlessly on customer service.

This is a truly inspiring story of success that any one in business should read. By creating happiness among employees, Tony has proven that this will lead to a profitable company. I can say for a fact that this works since one of the best jobs I ever had used these same principles and the company was quite profitable as well as the happy employees. I really enjoyed this one both as a memoir and business read.
