Defense attorney asks judge to drop Lafayette case against Spork the dog - Colorado Daily
Um, a dachshund bites a vet tech because it is in pain and scared, so the dog is viscous? I thought you pretty knew when you signed up to be a vet tech, you might get bit by an animal. Every time I have had a dog in pain at the vet, they immediately put a soft muzzle on the dog to protect them. ARGGGHHH!!!
Poor doggy! When I bring my Daisy to the vet and she has to get blood drawn, the dr. always says she MAY have to muzzle her if she gets too uptight. Daisy is a Basset Hound and the biggest baby on the planet! She is extremely sensitive to having her paws and ears touched, and even though I don't want to see her muzzled I understand that it's for the doc & tech's protection. I would think that a vet and the techs that work there would know that a scared dog (or cat) has the potential to bear teeth. :(
ReplyDeleteThis is another reason why everyone with any type of dog should be aware of BSL. I know this isn't a specific BSL case, but it sounds like the city may be setting themselves up for such a bad law.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if the dog is found vicious (which I doubt) then if it is allowed to stay alive, it cannot be in their custody, even if they move. The laws for dogs are so bad, you don't have to have a pitty to be affected. :(
