Blue (the ancient Aussie) made it upstairs all by himself! We were all upstairs and I guess he felt lonely in the family room. He knocked down the baby gate I used to corral him and came up with out any help at all.
I'm not sure if you've tried it, but I've been giving my corgi DGP ("Dog Gone Pain") herbal supplements for over a year now on the advice of a vet and she's doing awesome. It really helps with her hip pain. **Seriously not an ad or anything, I've just never found anything else that helped and I've tried everything**
