This is one of those books with a predictable plot, but the pleasure is in the way it is written. It is a typical boy and girl meet, lose each other, then find one another again. The beauty of the words make the whole thing totally unpredictable though and should be read for just that reason.
I just looked at your rating because I haven't read the book yet and want to be surprised. I have no idea what it is about, I just saw it was by Rebecca Wells and added it to my wish list (I just picked it up from the library).
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing, I saw it at the library and picked it up since I loved the Ya Yas! Give this one a chance...definitely worth a read if you enjoy books about the southern lifestyle.
