Book #122 Undead and Unwelcome (Queen Betsy, Book 8)

4 out of 5

Product Description
New in the “one of a kind”(Darque Reviews) New York Times bestselling series featuring Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor! Betsy Taylor has problems that only a vampire queen/suburban wife could possibly understand. Such as taking the body of her werewolf friend Antonia—who died in her service—to Cape Cod, where she’s not sure if the Wyndham werewolves will welcome her with fangs or friendship. Meanwhile, her posse back in St. Paul is sending frantic e-mails alerting Betsy to her half-sister’s increasingly erratic behavior. Looks like the devil’s daughter is coming into her own—and raising hell.
About the Author
MaryJanice Davidson is a bestselling author who also writes a series featuring a teen were-dragon named Jennifer Scales, and novels featuring Fred the Mermaid (Fish Out of Water, Swimming without a Net, and Sleeping with the Fishes).
I know most people didn't like the new direction MJD is taking with the Queen Betsy series, but I really like this one. Told from both Betsy and Marc's point of view, the story was a nice departure from the typical plan. It was nice to hear a new voice in this series and I hope to hear more from the other characters. I need to go get out Derik's Bane and read that one to find out more about the Windham Werewolves.

  2. Beth -- I read the whole series in a week while I was stuck home with a sick dog.
