W...I ended up dating my best friend in highschool. We were really close and hung out all the time and he even went on family vacations with us. He wanted to try being together but I was adamant that I didn't want to lose my best friend. I also lived in reality and we were in 10th grade. I knew it wouldn't last if we did get together. There was a kiss one night at a party and things changed and I decided to give it a go. I fell hard and fast. He was my boyfriend and best friend. It should have been easy since we knew everything about eachother, but I discovered there was a whole other layer to him. He didn't like my swearing all of a sudden and started to try to correct me and some of my behavior. There is a lot of things I can list, but he ended up breaking my heart telling me he loved me but he couldn't be with me right now but saw us getting married one day. WTF? Two weeks later, he decided he made a mistake and begged me to take him back. This was my best friend and stupid me missed the friendship the most so I said ok, just to have it happen again three weeks later. Same excuse! About a month later, I missed my best friend and when I was at a friends house and discovered her mother dead, I was horrified, upset and a mess. I call him, my ex, but I wanted comfort from my friend. He was there for me, but after the dust settled, it was done again! That's number 3. I learned my lesson and it was done, including the friendship I had come to count on. He tried pulling me aside a year later at a party, saying he loved me and that he couldn't be with me right now but wanted to marry me someday. I was on to him and done with his shit and so sick of that stupid line and said adios for good! It was hard and the thing I missed the most wasn't the relationship but the friendship that I came to count onJolene and Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430221887990969543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581275855741224398.post-20563054247884036022014-07-29T13:38:47.607-07:002014-07-29T13:38:47.607-07:00Hi Mary,

I wanted to stop by and share one of my Worst Breakup stories at Book Hounds. So, here it goes...

10 months after my fiance' proposed to me, he told me that he had entered therapy and discovered that he had never loved anyone: including me. We were 12 weeks from our wedding date and I had the dress, the bridesmaids, etc.. He no longer wanted to marry me, but wanted to continue dating: he wanted his new employers to see him at firm functions with a date, as he felt that this would increase his options of getting an offer of permanent employment from this firm. There was no promise of when or if, we would ever marry. I had realized a few months earlier that he had all the signs of a control-freak monster, as he had started telling me how I should dress-- so this just made it easier for me: I broke-up with him on the spot. He wanted the ring back and his mom (who had insisted that she would wear a full-length white ballroom gown to the wedding), wanted the "diamond" (cubic zirconia) chip earrings back that she had given me. He also wanted back every piece of furniture and household cooking item that he had ever given me. Later, as I was getting my dress altered for my wedding to the wonderful man who is my husband, a friend told me "you got a better guy and you got a better ring." But to cap things off, not long after I married my husband, control-freak guy contacted me and asked me for work.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06433480330414550303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581275855741224398.post-91233092659389155592014-07-29T12:43:13.827-07:002014-07-29T12:43:13.827-07:00Fifty years ago when I was in high school, I dated...Fifty years ago when I was in high school, I dated a fellow from Kentucky who was attending a private military school near where I lived. We were both on the rifle teams at our respective schools and met at a match we had against their team. (My team won and I was the top shooter over-all.) He was only allowed off campus on the weekends but he did called me nearly every night. We dated for nearly nine months. However, in June for his senior prom, he did not invite me but went with a girl who flew up from Kentucky. Not a steady girlfriend, just someone his family considered more socially acceptable than a doctor's daughter. Hmmm. I never spoke to him again, although he did call. (FYI he somehow found me on Facebook and tried to connect with me 50 years later. I cannot imagine why, since his Facebook picture shows his wife and family.)Goldenmanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16928124100497774567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581275855741224398.post-67113516539451951392014-07-29T10:21:25.516-07:002014-07-29T10:21:25.516-07:00Found husband's hand in another women's pa...Found husband's hand in another women's pants at 5 am in a 7/11 parking lot. I think before that it might have been my college crush and he decided he wanted to try dating...but his idea of dating was maybe once a month. I think I told him after my company Christmas party that while I can appreciate going slow, being at a standstill wasn't acceptable.

Or there was the guy that when he was down in the dumps didn't talk to me at all. men!hugbandit7https://www.blogger.com/profile/09675702183212358864noreply@blogger.com
