And yet, no lingering terror of dogs...I love my slobbery hound!<br /><br />Cujo was terrifying to me. I thought it masterful how King makes a seemingly benign situation (locked inside a car with a menacing dog outside) into an incredibly intense and scary situation! He was older, and sleeping at my feet, so one day I decided to lay down beside him. He woke up, and snarled and the next thing I knew my whole head was in his mouth. He didn't bite my, thankfully, but he could have killed me if he wanted to.
